How it scores for you10 scores
Perfect five-star safety and limousine-grade quiet at used-Lexus money - the classic depreciated-luxury play, with only middling fuel economy to pay.
Recalled somewhat less often than cars of the same model years; 4 of its 6 recalls were serious. About 5% of its owner complaints describe a crash, fire or injury. Based on recalls and serious defect reports — it doesn't capture everyday repairs or problems fixed by warranty extensions. Adjusted +2 points for its wider reputation.
5-star overall NHTSA crash rating (frontal 5, side 5, rollover 5).
About $2,950 a year in fuel (EPA estimate) — cheaper to run than about 35% of cars we track.
15.3 cu ft of cargo space — more than about 53% of other sedans we track.
Long 118-in-class wheelbase pays off in a stretch-out rear seat plus a usable 15.3 cu ft trunk.
A ~4,500-lb comfort-first cruiser; the 5.0 V8 adds effortless shove but nothing here is tuned for sport.
Well-equipped for its price in-period - standard driver aids, clean 9.2-in nav on upper trims - though the interface now feels a generation old.
Quiet, softly sprung, and generously built - genuine full-size luxury refinement that undercut German rivals.
Luxury brands like Genesis tend to lose value faster than average.
No published tow rating; all- or four-wheel drive available.
