How it scores for you10 scores
The rare style statement that carries like a wagon - 24.5 cu ft under the hatch - with supercharged pace and low drama.
Reliability42

Recalled somewhat less often than cars of the same model years; 2 of its 5 recalls were serious. Based on recalls and serious defect reports — it doesn't capture everyday repairs or problems fixed by warranty extensions. Adjusted +2 points for its wider reputation.

Safety50

Not yet crash-tested by NHTSA, so this is scored as middle-of-the-road.

Running costs28

About $3,100 a year in fuel (EPA estimate) — cheaper to run than about 28% of cars we track.

Cargo & utility84

24.5 cu ft of cargo space — more than about 84% of other hatchbacks we track.

Passenger space52

Strict four-seater with good legroom but coupe-like rear headroom.

Driving fun60

Supercharged V6 pace and quattro composure with a lower, sleeker attitude than the A6.

Tech58

Same era-leading-then, dated-now MMI story as the C7 A6.

Comfort70

Quiet, gorgeous cabin; the sleek roof costs some rear headroom.

Value retention40

Luxury brands like Audi tend to lose value faster than average.

Capability30

No published tow rating; all- or four-wheel drive available.
