How it scores for you10 scores
Standard safety tech and grown-up manners at a bargain-basement price; the wheezy CVT powertrain and shrunken back seat are the compromises.
Recalled far less often than cars of the same model years; 1 of its 5 recalls was serious. About 5% of its owner complaints describe a crash, fire or injury. Based on recalls and serious defect reports — it doesn't capture everyday repairs or problems fixed by warranty extensions. Adjusted -3 points for its wider reputation.
Not yet crash-tested by NHTSA, so this is scored as middle-of-the-road.
About $1,850 a year in fuel (EPA estimate) — cheaper to run than about 78% of cars we track.
14.7 cu ft of cargo space — more than about 24% of other sedans we track.
The sleeker roofline cost rear-seat room — legroom is now merely par for a subcompact sedan.
Light and tidy in town with better body control than before, but 122 hp and a CVT make acceleration strictly merge-with-planning.
Standard automatic emergency braking plus available CarPlay and an 8-inch screen are impressive at the price point.
Ride and noise are much improved for the class; seats and materials are still built to a price.
Typical resale value for a sedan.
No published tow rating; front- or rear-wheel drive only.
