How it scores for you10 scores
Sprawling comfort with up to 44-mpg hybrid thrift and a sterling dependability record — the big-sedan formula executed at its peak.
Recalled somewhat less often than cars of the same model years; 2 of its 8 recalls were serious. About 6% of its owner complaints describe a crash, fire or injury. Based on recalls and serious defect reports — it doesn't capture everyday repairs or problems fixed by warranty extensions. Adjusted +8 points for its wider reputation.
Not yet crash-tested by NHTSA, so this is scored as middle-of-the-road.
About $1,500 a year in fuel (EPA estimate) — cheaper to run than about 85% of cars we track.
16.1 cu ft of cargo space — more than about 79% of other sedans we track.
Vast rear legroom and a wide, airy cabin; among the roomiest sedans sold.
Stiffer TNGA platform and 301-hp V6 give real polish and adequate agility; still comfort-first.
Standard Toyota Safety Sense and a 9-inch screen; early years lacked Android Auto, added later.
Exceptionally quiet, supple, and spacious — flagship-grade comfort without the luxury badge.
SUVs and hybrids usually hold their value better than average.
No published tow rating; all- or four-wheel drive available.
